New York City’s Best Rooftops

For visitors to the Big Apple, the constant activity and pulse of the city is both exhilarating and exhausting. It’s one of the most thriving and dynamic cities in the world, making rooftops the ideal place to escape its craziness. Television personality Reuben Mourad takes us on an exploration of NYC, climbing the stairs up to some of the best and more unique rooftop spaces in the city – some that you may not even know existed, and all of which offer visitors a new perspective on New York City.

WHERE TO EAT IN NEW YORK – Cheap Food You Eat With Your Hands

DOWNLOAD MY FREE LIST OF BEST SPEAKEASY BARS IN NYC –
http://eepurl.com/cXRSBn

Where to eat in New York City? Looking for some iconic and in my opinion famous places to eat? Check out some of my favorite restaurants to eat in New York for cheap that are all handheld foods.

When I lived in NYC I regularly ate at these places as did many others. All are affordable and handheld foods. The restaurants range from Middle Eastern, Venezuelan, Seafood and Asian. Follow me as we stop at each one to give you an inside look to what to expect.

Stop 1 – King of Falafal & Shawarma: This places started out as a food cart and quickly gained popularity. Soon a food truck and a brick and mortar location opened up. Be sure to get one of their free falafel they give to customers when waiting in line. I get my beef and lamb shawarma wrap. They stuff it with lots of meat, pickled vegetables, onions, lettuce, yogurt sauce all on a homemade toasted wrap. I also get a Palestinian salad on the side.

Stop 2 – Caracas: Caracas makes authentic Venezuelan stuffed arepas that are to die for. Be sure to try the De Pabellon which has shredded beef, black beans, salty cheese and sweet plantains. Its a perfect mix of sweet and savory. If your there for lunch get the lunch special which is one arepa and a salad or soup for only $10.

Stop 3 – Luke’s Lobster: I had been coming to this place for years before they got big. Now they can be found all over the place including Japan, Los Vegas, Miami, New York, New Jersey, Maine, Maryland, DC. The traditional New England style lobster rolls are so simple but delicious. If you don’t feel like paying the price for a lobster roll try a crab or shrimp roll. They are just as good just don’t forget to pair a roll with their clam chowder. The chowder is full of clams.

Stop 4 – Bao Haus: Serving up small bao bite size Asian sliders. You can easily eat four of these in one sitting they are so delicious. Unfortunately by the time we got here we were so full we only ordered two of them. Be sure to stop by this 80’s grungy restaurant and grab yourself a sack full!

There are so many other places to eat in NYC that I will have to do more videos on this topic. Leave me a comment and let me know of some other types of food you might like to see and I will be sure to include them.
